Kinder Downfall – This waterfall on the edge of Kinder Scout in the Peak District is stunning at any time of the year – but a visit in the winter months will reveal it in all of its glory. The low temperatures here can cause natural ice sculptures to form around it, and if you see it when there is a strong westerly windy, you may not believe your eyes as the water appears to flow upwards.

Hollow Brook – This wild stretch of Exmoor coastline has some of the steepest cliff edge drops in Britain – and flowing down from the great height of 210 metres is the Great Hangman waterfall – it is truly a spectacular sight and shows the immense power of nature.
